Buddha Beats Live Music Yoga Benefit was a huge success!
The benefit was held to raise money for the victims that lost their apartments & all of their belongings to the fire that ignited during the early morning hours at the 81 W. Main St. building on January 14th.
More information regarding the incident can be found at nj.com.
Buddha Beats was held at The Studio located in High Bridge, NJ on Friday, February 6th, 2015 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm ish. It was a combination of yoga, live music, snacks and great people. We had a turnout of over 30 yoga participants, as well as some folks who came to donate & listen to the live music.
Music was led by Matt Monaco, Diego Sanchez, Hayley Pellis, Haley Yacos, & Colin Morris. They were phenomenal, receiving multiple compliments from the yogis & listeners. The music they played sent out the perfect vibes for our yoga flow. I want to take them with me to all of my future yoga classes! A huge thanks to them for donating their time and putting on a great performance.
Yoga was led by Dorothy Henderson, owner of The Studio, Ken Doyle, a member of the HBFD who was on-site January 14th, and myself. A huge thank you to these 2 as I could not have done it without them! They have such positive energy and big hearts.
Yogis of all levels came together as one last night on their mats. Lots of yogi love was shared throughout the music filled, tapestry covered, (LED) candle lit room.
As of today (February 7th, 2015), our community has raised over $800 and counting as donations are still coming in. Once collected, all profits will be given to the HBES to disperse to the victims.
There are some beautiful souls that surround us; the community support coming from all over. I received donations from my yogis at Amec Foster Wheeler, my friend and his business colleagues of New Brunswick, family, friends and many other amazing people, whether they attended the event or not.
So grateful to be part of this wonderful experience that helped a great cause.
